To EP&E Students:
If you have routine questions about the major and its new requirements, please direct those to Kellianne.Farnham@yale.edu. If you have questions specific to you, you can make an appointment for a phone conversation with me at calendly.com/peter-swenson-dus-epe. Make sure to enter your phone number in the place provided and a very short summary of your inquiry
Students majoring in Ethics, Politics & Economics will emerge from the major with experience in examining social and political questions from several different disciplinary perspectives. Introductory courses provide skills and knowledge to ground more focused study later on. Core courses and applied seminars insure that students gain experience with a wide range of analytical tools and methods. The concentration, selected individually by each student in consultation with professors and with the Director of Undergraduate Study, offers a chance to build on what students have learned from these earlier experiences and apply it to a more focused area of study. The senior essay, on a topic of their choosing, is a culminating academic experience.
